Fiberglass fills cavities. It does not seal them. Air still moves. Spray foam adheres and closes the envelope.

2 lb closed cell is about R-6 an inch — air barrier, moisture control, vapour retarder, and a bit of structure.

Make it tight and ventilate right. About 90% of moisture problems start with air movement — mould, rot, the usual.
Closed cell only, unless a spec says otherwise. Open cell has not got the vapour resistance for a Manitoba winter.

Spray polyurethane foam seals holes, cracks and seams so indoor air stays in and outdoor air stays out — including the hard-to-reach interfaces that leak energy.

New builds and renovations. Foam fully adheres to almost any surface. We spray the cavities, the rim, the underside — wherever the envelope actually is.

Basements, rim joists and crawlspaces are where a lot of that 33% leaves. Closed cell here cuts air leakage and the moisture that rides with it.
